Serving The Community For Over 180 Years

Join Our Faith Community

At First Baptist Church of Jackson, we believe that faith serves as a guiding light in navigating life's challenges and joys. Our community is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth through meaningful worship, educational programs, and fellowship events.

Sunday Sermon Recap

How often do we pray for God’s blessings, receive them, and then quickly forget where they came from?

Throughout Scripture, God’s people witnessed miracle after miracle—manna from heaven, water from the rock, deliverance from their enemies—yet they often found themselves grumbling when life became difficult. We aren’t much different.

Sometimes we spend our lives chasing things we think will satisfy us, only to discover that the hunger remains. Success, possessions, approval, and pleasure can never fill the deepest need of our hearts. God alone is the true source of life, and apart from Him, nothing in this world can fully satisfy the soul.

Jesus reminds us in John 6:35:
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

Today, take time to thank God for the blessings He has already provided. Instead of grumbling about what is missing, praise Him for what He has done. Then come to Christ again—the only One who can truly satisfy the hunger of the soul and give us the abundant life found in Him.

May our prayers be filled with gratitude, our hearts anchored in His Word, and our lives nourished by the Bread of Life.

Mental Wellness Devotionals

Head & Heart: Mental Wellness Devotional

Ty Broermann has begun writing a new devotional series entitled: Head and Heart. The devotions will focus on mental health topics. Ty is a 22-year-old, a recent graduate of Miami (OH) University, and a member of First Baptist Church. He is not a mental health professional, but he is someone who feels called to be a warrior in the battle for mental health. He writes from his own experiences and creates dialogue from those experiences with God’s Word. Ty intends to create a weekly devotional that will be available to the church via hard copy, church website, and Facebook.
