One truth stood out:
A love for God’s Word creates a courageous faith in us.
The psalmist wasn’t living an easy, trouble-free life. He faced opposition, mockery, and trials—but instead of turning away from God, he leaned harder into His Word.
That’s such an important reminder for us.
When life gets difficult, we don’t have to depend on our own strength. We can go back to what God has already spoken. His Word reminds us of His promises, steadies us when circumstances feel uncertain, and gives us courage to keep walking faithfully.
And that kind of faith is built through habit.
Read His Word. Love His Word. Pray His Word. Obey His Word. Let His Word strengthen you.
The more time we spend rooted in Scripture, the stronger our roots become. And when the trials come—and they will—we can stand with a faith that is stronger, more courageous, and more faithful.
Even in trials, lean on God’s Word.
Our prayer this week is that God would give us an even greater love for His Word and help us make it part of our everyday lives so that we can continue to GROW DEEPER TO REACH FARTHER.

Head & Heart: Mental Wellness Devotional
Ty Broermann has begun writing a new devotional series entitled: Head and Heart. The devotions will focus on mental health topics. Ty is a 22-year-old, a recent graduate of Miami (OH) University, and a member of First Baptist Church. He is not a mental health professional, but he is someone who feels called to be a warrior in the battle for mental health. He writes from his own experiences and creates dialogue from those experiences with God’s Word. Ty intends to create a weekly devotional that will be available to the church via hard copy, church website, and Facebook.
