At First Baptist Church of Jackson, we believe that faith serves as a guiding light in navigating life's challenges and joys. Our community is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth through meaningful worship, educational programs, and fellowship events.
WHO IS SATAN?
One of the greatest tactics of the enemy is convincing us that standing on anything other than God’s Word is enough. But when our foundation begins to crack, our faith becomes vulnerable to temptation, deception, and accusation.
The Bible reminds us that Satan is real, but so is the victory we have through Jesus Christ.
Satan wants to:
• Tempt us away from God’s truth.
• Deceive us by twisting God’s Word.
• Accuse us and remind us of our failures.
But God calls us to something greater.
When we’re rooted in God’s Word, we can recognize lies, resist temptation, stand firm in trials, and live with confidence in Christ. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is a defeated foe. Our hope isn’t in ourselves—it’s in Jesus.
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith…”
— 1 Peter 5:8–9

All Are Welcome!
Ty Broermann has begun writing a new devotional series entitled: Head and Heart. The devotions will focus on mental health topics. Ty is a 22-year-old, a recent graduate of Miami (OH) University, and a member of First Baptist Church. He is not a mental health professional, but he is someone who feels called to be a warrior in the battle for mental health. He writes from his own experiences and creates dialogue from those experiences with God’s Word. Ty intends to create a weekly devotional that will be available to the church via hard copy, church website, and Facebook.

We love our community, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
